Thankyou to everyone who made the first annual Bighorn Music fest such a great weekend!
Mt Baldy
Has a long history of memorable music events, but The Bighorn Music Festival, commemorating the majestic Bighorn Sheep, who live on the rugged slopes of the Angeles National Forest, will be the granddaddy of them all.
You could say the event will be a good time to blow your big horn (as well) if you got (have) one.
From the Blues genre, various micro-cultures have splintered off, creating a fusion from sounds as diverse as punk and gospel.
If you haven’t seen a Bighorn off on some lonely rocky ridge in the Angeles Mountains, perhaps you have seen one of today’s idealistic young blues enthusiasts, sleeping in old vans at rest areas, perched on street corners. These are artists whose art chose them, and the Bighorn Festival will feature the best of the best of a generation that has revived roots music- blues- country and mountain music. As rugged as the music industry is today, these folks have the chops to cling to the rock. Think of Bighorn as music for musicians. Get out of the elevator and be a part of the revival.
